Trifle

 

Serves 10

Ingredients

1L reduced fat milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 cup Splenda® Granular
1/3 cup custard powder
100g low joule red jelly crystals
100g low joule green jelly crystals
1L boiling water
500g unsweetened canned fruit (eg. peaches, pears, apricots)
 

Preparation time: 10 minutes

 

  1. Combine milk, vanilla, SPLENDA® Granular and custard powder
  2. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until custard thickens
  3. Whisk jelly crystals in half of the boiling water and stir until dissolved. Cool slightly
  4. Place fruit in the base of a baking dish. Cover with the red jelly. Refrigerate until set
  5. Whisk green jelly crystals in half of the boiling water and stir until dissolved. Cool.
  6. Aternate layers of jellied fruit and custard in serving dishes
